ABOUT US
60 miles north of Anchorage, we're a small group of professional dog mushers who've raced in distances from 100 to 1000 miles, from the Iditarod to the Yukon Quest to the Kuskokwim 300 and more. More people train here for dog sled races than anywhere else in the world.

THE ALASKA MUSHING SCHOOL EXPERIENCE
We connect adventurous travelers with authentic dog sledding, whether that be enjoying a dog sled ride or learning how to mush yourself. Our tours are all conducted by local mushers with a combined experience of more than 50 years, and our operation helps maintain our unique lifestyle and any future races and expeditions. Each guide will be able to tell you of their adventures, their racing plans and records, the personalities of each of their sled dogs, and any questions you have about their very Alaskan way of life.
LAUNCH & GEAR
Our winter day tours launch primarily from 4x Iditarod champion Martin Buser’s Happy Trails Kennel. We provide all the warm gear you might need, including boots, parkas, snow pants, mittens, and hats.
